01

List Your Property

Once you register your property with TDYHero, it will be listed on our platform, where military travelers searching for stays of 30 days or more can easily find and book your property. Our platform isn’t designed for tourists or vacation rentals – we exclusively serve the needs of military professionals and government employees who require long-term, furnished housing. The typical stay is around 90 days, offering stable, responsible tenants for extended periods. We respect your autonomy as a host. TDYHero doesn’t get involved in lease agreements or charge any booking fees. Payment is backed by the U.S. government and is collected upfront by TDYHero, giving you full control over who you rent to and how much you charge.

02

Get Matched Fast

With our automated matching system and Housing Request process, you’ll receive direct inquiries from our dedicated Staff, allowing you to handpick the dates available and tenants that best suit your property. There’s no limit on how many matches you can receive! At TDYHero, we don’t charge any commissions or booking fees – just a simple, straightforward connection between you and military professionals. Once your listing is live, you can manage it through our platform, keeping everything at your fingertips.

03

Screen with Confidence

To help protect our hosts, we encourage tenant screening through background checks at no cost to the service members (TDYHero reimburses the service member up to $50 for the optional tenant screening services). These checks allow you to run credit reports, background checks, and eviction history to ensure your potential renter is a great fit. Additionally, you can create custom leases tailored to your property and local laws. Lastly, we can offer absolute “piece of mind” in terms of renting your property to a guest you are not familiar with. Service members are some of the most dependable and responsible tenants you could ask for and knowing their payment is backed by the U.S. government, they offer a great risk free alternate to “Airbnb” clients. Knowing you are renting your property to a member of the armed services or government employee, you may request a copy of the member’s official military travel orders. Military orders not only certify the member’s contact information, the military base where they are conducting training, but contain their supervisor’s official contact information as well.
